This dynamic image of a woman with both knees on the ground, a pose often depicted in both relief and freestanding carving, is similar to one of the most striking bronze figures in the Phnom Penh, National Museum's collection. Although she is probably not a deity, the beauty of her rich jewellery indicates a court or temple retainer. Her hands are placed in the adoration pose.
